Style Advice For Young It's Superman! (Hardcover) For those who remember the,"Elseworlds", one shot comics form a few years ago, this novel would fit in that category. I don't know if I liked it.De Haven knows NYC history very well. That came out very well. The racial undertones of the period were well written.I think that introducing so much sex in the story hurt it. It takes the sheen off Superman's integrety. I know that Metropolis is based on the Big Apple. I didn't have a problem with the Big Apple being a part of the story, but it just didn't feel right not to have Metropolis at all.Luthor was the most realistic character. I could see him as a mob boss, no problem.
